Three armed suspects were arrested Thursday morning after they were seen stealing items off of people's porches near Bart Drive.
Metro Police report that they received a call that the suspects, armed with long guns, were following a FedEx truck and taking packages off porches in the area.
Officers found the suspect vehicle, a black Dodge, and tried stopping it. The vehicle fled when police attempted to stop the suspects.
A police pursuit began, and the front seat passenger of the suspect vehicle, 23-year-old Paw Lay, left the car and tried to flee on foot. He was shortly apprehended by police after a foot pursuit.
Two suspects, 23-year-old Sho Win and 31-year-old Man Rai, were taken into custody once police stopped the Charger at the intersection of Margo Lane and Willard Drive.
An air rifle, which looked like a shotgun, along with packages from addresses in the area were found inside the suspect vehicle. A loaded shotgun was found along the path where the police pursuit took place after it was thrown from the passenger side window. The weapon was recovered in the front yard of a home where small children lived.
Win, the driver, was charged with felony evading arrest and theft of property. Lay was charged with misdemeanor evading arrest, possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, reckless endangerment and theft of property. Rai was cited for theft of property.
