At least 10 students treated following possible overdose at Van Nuys Junior High School

VAN NUYS, Calif. (KNX) - The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a possible overdose involving at least 10 students at Van Nuys Junior High School Thursday morning.

The call came in at 10:34 a.m., Captain Erik Scott with the Los Angeles Fire Department told KNX News 97.1 FM. Scott said this is not fentanyl-related and that the kids are only showing mild to moderate symptoms.

It is unclear at this time what caused the illnesses.

At this time, six students are hospitalized.
