A deflated trio of carjackers who targeted a car in a Walgreens parking lot Wednesday didn’t make it far when a flat tire stopped their getaway, authorities said.

The driver had been waiting for AAA to change her tire at the Walgreens in Englishtown when two men and a woman forced her out of her vehicle at around 9 a.m., police said in a statement.

The carjackers fled east onto Gordons Corner Road, but were forced to pull over in a parking lot in Manalapan about a half-mile away, officials said. Manalapan police took the trio into custody.

Rayj Durant, 20, Tyler Lares, 18, and Hazma Williams, 19, all of Brooklyn, New York, are each charged with carjacking, motor vehicle theft, theft and conspiracy. Williams was also charged with hindering apprehension. They are being held at the Monmouth County jail ahead of a scheduled Dec. 7 detention hearing.

All are also being investigated for other crimes that took place in the area before the carjacking.

The woman was not injured and police noted no weapon was shown.
