NASHVILLE, Tenn.--City leaders have gathered to talk about the needs for the citizens of Antioch. One of their biggest wants is to stop dangerous diving on their neighborhood streets.
Police say they are aware of the speeding issue and want to put an end to it as well. Metro Police South Commander Keith Stephens says the department is hiring traffic officers. "Our families drive the same streets that yours do, its a priority for us," says Commander Stephens.
Part of the solution will be a new police precinct coming to Antioch. MNPD expects to break ground in the Spring with completion by summer 2024.
