Buffalo N.Y. (WGR 550) - After kicking a game-winning field goal this past week against the Detroit Lions and tying a career and franchise record six field goals in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November.
For the month of November, Bass scored a total of 44 points for the Bills and converted 12-of-13 field goal attempts. He also leads the NFL this season with 101 points scored for his team.
Some of the notable highlights from Bass this month included a 56-yard field goal during Buffalo's 31-23 win over the Browns at Ford Field in Detroit. It was one of his six field goals made this afternoon, tying a personal best mark.
Then on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions, Bass came up in the clutch for Buffalo after missing an extra point attempt just minutes earlier to give the Bills a four-point lead. He closed out a second-straight win for Buffalo in the "Motor City" with a 45-yard game-winning field goal in a 28-25 victory.
This is the second time Bass has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month, with his first honor coming last season in the month of October. Bass is also the first Bills special teamer to be awarded the honor multiple times since punter Brian Morman earned the award three times.
