Arrests made in robberies of ride-share passengers in Baltimore

(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Police have announced arrests in a series of ride-share robberies.

City Police are not saying how many arrests have been made in connection with the robberies adding that they are working with local and federal law enforcement partners in investigating the crimes.

The arrests came following a series of armed robberies involving people who called for an Uber and wound up being taken to ATMs to withdraw money.

On Monday, a person was robbed after calling for an Uber at the Horseshoe Casino.

The driver was dispatched from the casino's valet area and took the passenger to a location where the passenger was assaulted and robbed by suspects in a second vehicle.

An investigation into all of the incidents is ongoing.
