There are five Arkansas Department of Correction inmates serving prison time for felonies committed in Clark County who are eligible for parole or transfer to another facility in December 2022. The Arkadelphian includes photos when they are available. They are:
Kevon Barenes
Kevon Barenes, 22, is serving a 5-year sentence at the Grimes Unit in Newport for a February 2022 conviction of theft by receiving and fleeing with serious injury. Barenes becomes eligible for parole or transfer on Dec. 19.
Anna Davis
Anna Davis, 38, is serving a 5-year sentence at the McPherson Unit in Newport for a 2022 conviction in Pulaski County for failure to register as a sex offender/filing false paperwork. This is her seventh incarceration in the prison system. She previously served prison time for a 2008 case of second-degree sexual assault and engaging a child in sexual conduct in Clark County. Davis becomes eligible for parole or transfer on Dec. 22.
Jonathan A. Davis
Jonathan A. Davis, 46, is serving a 4-year sentence at the Ester Unit for a 2022 conviction for drug and paraphernalia possession. His third incarceration, Davis becomes eligible for parole or transfer on Dec. 20.
Bobby D. Payne
Bobby D. Payne, 36, is serving a 4-year sentence at the Ouachita River Correctional Unit in Malvern for a 2022 conviction in Little River County for tampering with evidence, domestic battery, false imprisonment and terroristic threatening. He had served prison time for a 2008 Clark County case of breaking or entering and criminal mischief, according to court records. The current incarceration marks Payne’s sixth. He becomes eligible for parole or transfer on Dec. 27.
Bryan Taylor
Bryan Taylor, 45, is serving a 10-year sentence at the Cummins Modular Unit for a 2018 conviction in Garland County for robbery and drug possession. He was also sentenced in Clark County for a 2018 case of drug possession. Taylor has been incarcerated three times and is eligible for parole or transfer on Dec. 28.
Of the 315 state prison inmates with Clark County charges, 23 are serving life sentences.
