A hazmat team from the Providence Fire Department was called to Rhode Island College for a chlorine container incident.

Fire officials told NBC 10 News the container had expanded.

The building was evacuated as a precaution and no injuries were reported.
Rhode Island College told NBC 10 on Thursday that the fire department was able to relieve the pressure in the barrel without a spill.
The center is expected to reopen on Thursday, according to the school.
