The University of Texas at Austin Police are searching for a suspect involved in an attempted aggravated robbery near campus on Wednesday.
UTPD says that around 3:45 p.m. on November 30, three people affiliated with the school said they were walking near 24th and Guadalupe Street when a man approached them and demanded money.
When they were able to safely get away from the suspect, they realized he was armed with a knife.
No one was injured during the incident.
The victims contacted UTPD around 4:35 p.m. and officers immediately responded to search the area but didn't find anyone matching the suspect's description.
Police believe this to be an isolated incident at this time.
Suspect Description:
- White male
- Gray hair
- Short beard with a 5 o'clock shadow
- He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants
