Developer wants to transform former Stamford Savings Bank into 11-story, 4-star boutique hotel
STAMFORD — About four years after receiving its proposal, the Stamford Zoning Board could be only a month away from greenlighting a downtown hotel project. The Old Towne Hotel project would convert the Stamford Savings Bank building at 160 Atlantic St. beside Veterans Memorial Park into an 82-room boutique hotel with a ground-floor restaurant and rooftop patio. The project was initially referred to the Zoning Board by the Planning Board in early 2019.

Gingerbread battle raises $15K for Make-A-Wish CT
TRUMBULL — Gingerbread houses turned into quite a windfall for Make-A-Wish Connecticut. New Haven-based businesses Richard Turlington Architects and AIA Connecticut recently held their fourth annual gingerbread competition to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut. Official: Man charged, two hospitalized in Danbury stabbing
DANBURY — Authorities have arrested a man, charging him with first-degree assault, after a stabbing downtown that left two men injured late Friday night. The suspected assailant was identified as 29-year-old Jorge Bonilla, according to city spokesperson Erin Henry. Bonilla was taken into police custody after he was found in a nearby alley, Henry said. Bonilla was also charged with second-degree assault, breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon.
