One day after his arrest and questioning from Racine, South Milwaukee and Franklin detectives, Timothy Olson, the man accused of drugging and stealing from women, talked with WISN 12 News exclusively over the phone from jail.
He was arrested in Franklin on Tuesday accused of following a 79-year-old woman to her car and forcing her into it at gunpoint. Police said he then drove her around to at least one ATM.
"We knew each other prior to that, and she had texted me on her phone through a Google voice number, a fake number. It's in her phone," Olson said. "This will prove that she's lying and that she knew me, she knew my name."
He denies the kidnapping accusation out of Franklin. He also denies the multiple allegations out of Racine County.
"What about the Racine County cases, Timothy? You've been wanted for those for several weeks now," WISN 12 News' Hannah Hilyard asked.
"You talking about Mt. Pleasant? ... They're lying about that, too," he said.
Olson is also considered a person of interest in the death of Kim Mikulance. Surveillance cameras from a South Milwaukee bar showed her with Olson moments before she passed out. She died days later.
Olson denies drugging her.
"Absolutely not. I had just met her at that bar. What are you guys talking about?" he said. "I'm not talking about that case at all. I had nothing to do with ... that has nothing to do with me. I had nothing to do with that. I had just met her."
South Milwaukee police are awaiting toxicology results. Mikulance's family and friends are awaiting answers.
"We have to patiently wait to see what his side is, what the facts are and to see if it's actually linked in some way. We just have to patiently wait and hope that justice is served for her," Mikulance's friend Michele Bendix said. "I think this may be the hardest part."
Olson is formally charged with five counts of identity theft in Racine County. Franklin Police say they plan on referring kidnapping, burglary and identity theft charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
