SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — With the winter storm hitting Spokane and the Winter Storm Warnings in effect across the Inland Northwest, many places will remain closed throughout the day on Wednesday.
The Spokane area will see about six to eight inches of snow through Wednesday night. Many school districts, including Spokane Public Schools and Community Colleges of Spokane campuses, are closed for the day.
Here is a list of places that closed on Wednesday due to the weather:
Spokane County Libraries:
All Spokane County Library District facilities will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 30, due to regional weather.
This closure is in place for all 11 locations:
- Airway Heights Library
- Argonne Library and Administrative Offices
- Cheney Library
- Deer Park Library
- Fairfield Library
- Medical Lake Library
- Moran Prairie Library
- North Spokane Library
- Otis Orchards Library
- Valley Library
- The BookEnd in Spokane Valley Mall
YMCA Branches in Spokane and Sandpoint
All YMCA Branches in Spokane and Sandpoint are closing at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and opening late on Thursday at 8 a.m. due to the extensive snowfall.
- South Spokane YMCA Child Watch and all group exercise classes are canceled.
- Youth sports games are canceled at The Warehouse and Hub.
- Childcare programs will follow guidance from school districts. If districts close or have a late start, YMCA childcare programs will follow.

- The Arc of Spokane's Community Center and Thrift Store will be closed
- Numerica Skate Ribbon and
- The Numerica Skate Ribbon & Numerica SkyRide are closed. The Looff Carrousel will be open from 12-4 p.m. The team is working hard to clear pathways to ensure the park has proper accessibility. More updates will be posted on Thursday.
Snow showers will continue into Thursday, with an additional one to two inches possible for the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area. Stay safe and drive carefully if you are planning on leaving your home on Wednesday.
