Freeman has been charged with one count of manslaughter in the second degree.
Ashlee McGill was killed August 27 around 5:30 a.m. when a car jumped a curb, striking Ashlee and then crashing into a tree.
The crash took place near the intersection of Southeast Stark Street and 133rd Avenue.
Ashlee's mother says she was sitting on a bench waiting to catch a bus when she was struck by the car. Ashlee left behind a six-year-old son.
