Man in court for summer crash that killed woman in Albany

The man accused of hitting and killing a woman walking in Albany last summer pleaded not guilty during a court appearance Wednesday.

The accident killed 52-year-old Kathleen McBride of Albany.

The Albany County District Attorney’s Office says 30-year-old Jose Guaman-Bunay was driving drunk on July 7 he hit McBride.

Guaman-Bunay is pleading not guilty to all charges he’s accused of in the crash. Those include aggravated vehicular manslaughter, manslaughter and assault.

He’s due back in court Dec. 22.
