Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, West SR 14, east of South CR 850W, Silver Lake. Driver: Jay D. Parker, 43, East CR 100S, Akron. Parker was traveling east on West SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:29 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, SR 15 and CR 600N, Leesburg. Drivers: Daniel Halsey, 39, SR 13 2B, Pierceton; and Sean Cook, 37, Patnaude Lane, Lakeville. Halsey pulled onto SR 15 into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Cook. Cook complained of hip and upper leg pain and was taken to a hospital. A passenger in Cook’s vehicle, Jansen Howard, 43, complained of pain all over and was taken to a hospital. Damage up to $50,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, North SR 13, near George Street, North Webster. Drivers: Jeff A. Courtney, 51, South SR 13, Pierceton; and Keith A. Gunkel, 45, West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Courtney’s vehicle rear-ended Gunkel’s. Courtney complained of chest pain and Gunkel complained of back pain. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 2:48 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the parking lot of Domino’s Pizza at 202 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. Driver: Olivia Davis, 17, CR 175E, Warsaw. Davis pulled her vehicle forward accidentally and struck the building. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 3800 block North SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Shelby W. Fields, 27, North Elder Road, Larwill. Fields was backing his vehicle when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 11:54 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, on Park Avenue, south of Kings Highway in Winona Lake. Driver: Shannon Krull, 51, Chestnut Avenue C., Winona Lake. Witnesses said Krull drove erratically, disregarded the stop sign at Argonne Road and Kings Highway, then struck a barricade and jumped a curb. Damage up to $5,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, North US 31 and East CR 275N, Rochester. Driver: Barbara Sischo, no age listed, Hamlet. No details available at this time.
- 6:33 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, East SR 14 and North CR 500E, Rochester. Driver: Sarah R. Mangelsdorf, 20, Fulton. Mangelsdorf struck a deer with her vehicle.
- 11:13 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, North Old US 31 and East Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Philip E. Snook, 78, Rochester. Snook struck a sign with his vehicle.
