Snow plows working to keep Spokane roads safe
SPOKANE, Wash.–Spokane Public Works is working to keep your drive safe.
Today, Spokane Public Works is plowing emergency routes and major arterials, to clear roadways for your daily commute. However, SPW is asking those who can afford to work from home to stay home.
For those on the road today, Spokane Public works says to carry emergency gear– that includes a shovel, cat litter for traction and blankets to stay warm while waiting for a tow truck.
While plows are getting around the city and into neighborhoods. SPW asks people to remove any obstacles on personal property including cars, trash cans and basketball hoops.
Since Monday, Spokane county plows have been working around the clock in 12 hour shifts.
Spokane is the largest county road system in the state for plowing.
