Much calmer weather in the days ahead

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Our severe weather threat has come to an end here in the Wiregrass! Light to moderate rain with a few rumbles of thunder will continue pushing through on the back side of our line through mid-morning before we dry out post-front for the rest of the day. We’ll take one more trip up to the low 70s this afternoon prior to our next shot of cool air filtering in from the north.

We’ll start off Thursday in the upper 30s and only make it into the upper 50s during the PM hours. Mainly sunny skies will prevail.

Friday will be slightly warmer as we start the morning in the low 40s and climb to the mid 60s. Sunshine and a few high clouds will fill the skies once again.

Saturday and Sunday will feature a little more cloud cover, a low-end chance for a few showers, and even warmer temperatures as highs ascend to the mid 70s.

We’ll reach the mid 70s again on Monday after waking up in the upper 50s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds along with another isolated chance for a sprinkle or two.

Tuesday will be our warmest day this week as most locations make it up close to 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies. We’ll have a very small chance for a shower once again like the three days before.
