Hopdoddy offers a menu of burgers ranging from The Classic and the Bacon Jam Double to El Diablo and Ahi Tuna. You can also get your fix of fried chicken with a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich or crispy tenders. Salads and fries are also offered, plus a full bar and Boozy Shakes.

According to project filings, Cypress could become home to Hopdoddy Burger Bar next spring. The 3,400-square-foot restaurant must undergo some renovations before opening at 9945 Barker Cypress Rd., Ste. 129 at Towne Lake in Cypress.

Construction could begin on a second planned location early next year in Richmond. The 3,500-square-foot space at 4936 Waterview Town Center Dr. could open next summer, according to a project filing.

Hopdoddy got its start in Austin in 2010 and now has locations across Texas, including seven in the Houston area, and in other states such as Arizona, California, and Colorado. The name Hopdoddy comes from hops, an ingredient in beer, and Doddy, which is a nickname for Blank Angus cattle, according to the brand’s website.
