Sunny and cold; Warming up soon

Any wintry precipitation exited the area on Tuesday afternoon, and we’ve since seen the clouds clear out completely. Despite sunny skies on Wednesday, we do expect another cold day.

Morning temperatures are in the teens for most, with wind chills about 5-15° colder. While it will be less breezy on Wednesday, the wind chill factor will still exist during the afternoon. We’re forecasting a high near 35° in Lincoln, with afternoon wind chills in the teens and 20s.

Wednesday Forecast

On Wednesday night, we may start to see a few more high clouds move into the area. That said, we’ll still be mostly clear and chilly into Thursday morning.

Wednesday Night Forecast

High temperatures will rebound in the coming days, perhaps reaching the 50s on Thursday and 60s on Friday. However, a cold front passes through on Friday which will knock temperatures down several notches on Saturday. But by Sunday, we’re warming right back up.

Temperatures - Looking Ahead

Friday’s cold front appears to be a dry one. In fact, precipitation chances will remain very low through the weekend as temperatures jump around from day to day.
