Former Secretary of State Candidate Kristina Karamo is putting her hat in the race for Michigan’s GOP Chair.
“I refuse to give up on my state and am prepared to do what it takes so Michigan can become a free state, governed by the people and for the people,” Karamo said in a statement Tuesday night.
Karamo lost in the secretary of state race to incumbent Jocelyn Benson by over 600,000 votes in the November 8th election.
The current chairman, Ron Weiser, will not be seeking reelection, according to MIGOP spokesperson Gustavo Portela.
Karamo isn’t the only name seen on Michigan's midterm ballot running for the Republican party chair. Former republican candidate for attorney general Matt DePerno announced his run on Nov. 14th.
