Joyce Zeigler

Joyce McNutt Zeigler, 89, of Maysville, departed this life Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio.

She was born April 28, 1933, at Tollesboro, a daughter of the late Russell and Lorena Perrine McNutt.

Joyce was of the Christian faith and the grace revolution, and a homemaker. In high school, she served as Kentucky State FHA (Future Homemakers of America) President and president of the Maysville District of FHA. She was recognized with a Young Kentuckian Award at the time. She was active in Homemakers, and enjoyed reading, creative pursuits such as painting, baking and assorted crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Rusty Zeigler of Maysville and Gregory Zeigler of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Linda Malone and her husband, Dennis, of Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Adam Zeigler and his wife, Amanda, Ryan Malone and his wife, Sue, Jim Malone and his wife, Lisa, Loni Perry and her husband, Steve, Ally Hogan and her husband, Aodhan, Kelly, Daniel, Katie, Jacob, and Max Zeigler; eight great-grandchildren; Carter, Tommy, Lillian, Charlie, Hadley, Abby, Anderson, and Arlee; and three sisters-in-law, Nancy McNutt of Newark, Ohio, Diana Zeigler of Wilmore, and Barbara Zeigler of Lexington. She also, leaves other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tommy Zeigler; one son, Jeffrey Zeigler; one brother, Douglas “Bud” McNutt; one sister, Eva Marian Hampton; four brothers-in-law, Sam Hampton, Richard Zeigler, Emerson Zeigler, and Jerome Zeigler; and one sister-in-law, Martha Zeigler.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Ky 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Johnny Bower officiating.

Friends may visit after 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4360 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
