Drying out and turning cooler, less humid

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Scattered showers ahead of a weak cold front pushed through our areas, especially along and to the north of I-4 during the late afternoon and early evening. The front pushes through overnight, lowering our humidity and making for cooler temperatures during the day on Thursday.

Thursday starts out in the cool mid 60s and does not warm up quickly. Breezy northeasterly winds bring cooler, drier air over us throughout the day, keeping us from getting too warm. We will top out in the mid to upper 70s during the afternoon.

The cooler temperatures do not linger, but the lower humidity is persistent throughout the weekend.

We begin a long stretch of days with mostly sunny skies, comfortable humidity and highs near 80 degrees that lasts through the weekend and into next week.
