NHL on TNT games tonight: Blackhawks vs. Oilers headlines Wednesday night national tv doubleheader

The best hockey player in the world will be front and center on Wednesday night, as Connor McDavid and the Oilers headline the TNT doubleheader.

The Edmonton captain continues to play the game on easy mode. McDavid leads the league in points with 39 points in just 22 games. His dynamic partner in crime, Leon Draisaitl, is fourth in the NHL with 33. 

The Oilers take on the Blackhawks in Chicago, as Edmonton fans will get a chance to watch potential deadline acquisition, Patrick Kane. While we still are a ways away from the trade deadline, the star winger has been tied to the Oilers in trade rumors dating back to the summer. 

Before the Oilers-Blackhawks contest will be TNT's first game of the night, an Atlantic Division battle between the Sabres and the Red Wings.

Here is what you need to know to watch the NHL on TNT on Wednesday. 

Which NHL games are on TNT tonight? 

TNT is back again with a doubleheader, as two of the games tonight will be solely broadcast on the network. 

Up first will be an Atlantic Division matchup between the Sabres and Red Wings. After, it will be a Western Conference contest with the Oilers and the Blackhawks. 

What time is Sabres vs. Red Wings?

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, Mich. 

The puck drop for the Sabres and Red Wings game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. 

What time is Oilers vs. Blackhawks?

  • Time: 10 p.m. ET
  • Location: United Center, Chicago, Illi.

The puck drop for the Oilers vs. Blackhawks contest is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET but could be pushed back further depending on how long the Sabres and Red Wings game goes. 

The game will be played at the United Center in Chicago.

TNT will be home to the two games on Wednesday night in the United States, as the network is set to broadcast the Sabres vs. Red Wings contest, as well as the Oilers vs. Blackhawks game.
