Officials think a fire that destroyed a building in Enid could have been arson.

Now, the state fire marshal’s office is investigating.
"It was a large structure, we had flames coming out the roof. It was fully engulfed," said Tyler Wedel, Lahoma fire chief.
The C & C Pipeline building near South Boomer Road and State Highway 15 burned for several hours. All firefighters could do was control the blaze.
"They used it as their mechanic shop, and they also had their offices out there," Wedel said.
KOCO 5 was told the fire was reported around 3:15 p.m. Monday but fire officials question whether or not it was an accident. Lahoma Fire said they called in the fire marshal and sheriff’s office to see if it was arson.
"We contacted the State Fire Marshal as well as the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office to help us investigate this. Any fire that we start to suspect some stuff, we contact them to investigate it," Wedel said.
Wedel said the nearest fire hydrant was about two miles away but that didn’t stop fire crews from keeping water on the flames. About five different departments around the area brought in water tanks to help.
"At no point did we have any problems keeping trucks full when we got water moving, so that was never an issue," Wedel said.
How the fire started is still under investigation.
"It was a total loss. There’s nothing savable inside," Wedel said.
No one was injured in the fire. It’s not clear when investigators will know if it was arson.
If you have information on the fire, call the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
