KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 29, 2022)  – The United Soccer Coaches announced its All-Region teams Tuesday evening and five members of the fourth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team were recognized for their outstanding play on the field.

Graduate student Adam Silva, along with seniors Bruno Andino and Justin Cross and junior Fritz Kabeiseman, were named to Region IV's First Team, while graduate student Sean Masur was named to Region IV's Second Team. The regional recognition is the third for Silva and the second for Andino, while Masur and Cross were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches for the first time. All five student-athletes previously earned First Team All-MAC Freedom honors earlier this month.

Silva, the 2022 MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year, has totaled 12 points (four goals with four assists) over a career-best 20 games. A constant threat to generate scoring chances for either himself or his teammates any time he touched the ball, the Wayne, New Jersey native ranked among the conference leaders in shots on goal per match and assists. He also ranked fourth on the team with 1,600 minutes played.

Andino had a breakout offensive campaign in his fourth season on Castle Point, leading the Ducks with 10 goals and eight assists to easily set a new career high with 28 points. The New Brunswick, New Jersey native had at least one point in 15 of his 21 contests and has recorded at least one point in each of the Ducks' four NCAA contests. With a flair for the dramatic, eight of Andino's 10 goals were game-winners, with the other two sending Stevens into overtime. He led Division III during the regular season with seven game-winning goals. Interestingly enough, more than half of Andino's 19 shots on goal found the back of the net.

In his first season as a starter, Cross turned in one of the best statistical seasons in net in the program's length history. The Kendall Park, New Jersey native holds a 0.42 goals-against average to go along with an .866 save percentage, ranking among the nation's leaders in both categories. The 2022 MAC Freedom Tournament's Most Valuable Player, Cross has marshaled 10 clean sheets and totaled 58 saves across 21 matches.

Kabeiseman again proved to be an integral player for the Ducks on both ends of the field. The Portland, Oregon native scored four goals with three assists to set a new career high with 11 points. Kabeiseman also led all field players with 1,800 minutes played across 21 matches. The third-year back helped lead a defensive group that conceded a mere five goals during the regular season, including just one to conference opponents. Stevens has posted 13 clean sheets and teams mustered just 183 shots against the Ducks (8.3 per game).

Masur turned in another strong season in the midfield, although the Bridgewater, New Jersey native's contributions on the field often do not appear in the box score. Offensively, Masur finished third on the team with a career-best five goals, while also helping the Ducks lock down opposing offenses all season long. The Ducks allowed teams to reach double-figures in shots just seven times and the Ducks have yet to concede more than one goal to an opponent in 22 matches.

The United Soccer Coaches organization is expected to name its All-America teams tomorrow.

Up Next: Stevens takes on No. 2 University of Chicago on Dec. 1 in the national semifinals. The Ducks will be making their second all-time appearance in the final four and the first since 2008. Thursday's matchup with UChicago will be the first meeting between the teams.
