DIFFERENCE. COME ON IN. INSIDE THE MILWAUKEE DIAPER MISSION. SO THIS IS THE WAREHOUSE, OBVIOUSLY A FIRST EVER DISTRIBUTION LINE FOR A BRAND NEW PARTNERSHIP. OUR NEWEST PARTNER, THE UW FOOD CENTER AND PANTRY, IS HERE TODAY TO PICK UP THEIR MONTHLY ORDER OF DIAPERS AND PERIOD SUPPLIES FOR THE FAMILIES THEY SERVE AT UW IN. ACCORDING TO THE MILWAUKEE DIAPER MISSION, ONE IN THREE U.S. FAMILIES EXPERIENCE DIAPER MEAD. AND THE PANTRY SAYS THEY WERE HEARING FROM MANY OF THEIR 1300 STUDENT PARENTS. IT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIKE CHOOSING BETWEEN PURCHASING FOOD TO PUT ON THEIR TABLE OR DIAPERS. THEY DON’T HAVE TO CHOOSE. THEY CAN HAVE BOTH. THE STUDENT PANTRY SAYS THEY’LL HAVE ACCESS TO UP TO 4000 DIAPERS PER ORDER TODAY. THEY TOOK BACK MUCH LESS THAN THAT AS THEY START TO ASSESS HOW MUCH STOCK THEY’LL NEED TO KEEP ON A REGULAR BASIS. IT’S DEFINITELY SOMETHING THAT WHEN WE’RE OUT OF IT, IT DOESN’T GO UNNOTICED. UW SAT ON A WAITLIST FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS BEFORE THE DIAPER MISSION COULD ADD THEM TO DISTRIBUTION. THEY’RE EXCITED TO FINALLY GET MORE PRODUCTS TO STUDENTS. WE DID IT, I THINK, FOR THE STUDENT PARENTS THAT I WORK WITH WHEN THEY GO INTO THE FOOD CENTER AND PANTRY AND SEE THAT THERE’S DIAPERS ON THE SHELVES AND THAT IT’S CONSISTENT, THEY’RE GOING TO FEEL LIKE, WOW, THIS UNIVERSITY CARES ABOUT ME AND THEY WANT ME TO BE HERE AND BE SUCCESSFUL IN FR
