Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers intends to start this Sunday’s matchup with the Chicago Bears. Rodgers, who has been dealing with a broken thumb on his throwing hand, left his start during Sunday Night Football with a rib injury as Green Bay fell to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Green Bay backup quarterback Jordan Love looked much improved during his appearance sparking some debate on if it was time to shut Rodgers down for the remainder of the season

Rodgers broke the news that his “scan’s came back clean” and that he plans on playing this week during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.

Both the Packers and Bears have been dealing with a plethora of injuries heading into Sunday’s matchup. There is still no word at this time if Justin Fields will make the start this Sunday for Chicago.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus told the media on Tuesday that Fields is “feeling better”, however he also stated that Fields would need medical clearance in order to play.
