Driving east of Texas across all of Louisiana and Mississippi this afternoon and evening anticipate a Particularly Dangerous Situation. A PDS Tornado Watch is in effect until 7 pm, for the risk of very strong EF2 to EF5 Tornadoes and Large Hail.

Tornado Watch #572 includes over 300 miles of I-20 from east of Shreveport to the Mississippi / Alabama border.  It also includes the 200+ mile stretch of Interstate 49 between Shreveport to Lafayette Louisiana.  Plan on low night time visibility in storms along heavily tree lined roads.

If you must drive into this Particularly Dangerous Weather Situation download the Audacy App.  You can listen to powerful Audacy stations like WWL 870 AM / 105.3 FM New Orleans and Jackson Mississippi's WJNT 1180 AM or ESPN The Zone 105.9.

Note:  The safer route east would be I-10 out of Houston or I-30 to I-40 east out of Little Rock.
