Remains of four infants found in a freezer in a Boston home

Police in Boston confirmed on Tuesday in a press release that the remains of four infants were found in an apartment in South Boston earlier this month.

The Boston Police Department shared that while responding to a call to investigate an apartment on Nov. 17, they discovered “what appeared to be a human fetus or an infant.”

The next day, while investigating the scene, more human remains were discovered by police. Autopsies have found that the remains belonged to two male infants and two female infants.

As for where in the apartment the remains were found, a spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney shared with the Boston Globe that they were located in a freezer.

Police have not shared who the remains belonged to or the names of any potential suspects.

The Boston Police Department shared that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
