SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-The-Woods are hoping the community will join them for some Christmas fun.
The sisters will be hosting an event titled “Christmas Fun at the Woods” on Dec. 10 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. at various locations on campus.
Attendees can enjoy a miniature Christmas village, a nativity scene, visit Santa, and meet the alpacas. The sisters say there will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family.
“We haven’t had this fabulous event since 2019, so we’re really excited to welcome people back from all over the Wabash Valley for Christmas Fun at the Woods,” Sister Paula Damiano said. “Over the river and to the woods for this great, great, celebration of Christmas.”
Damiano hopes people from all over the area join in the event.
“We feel this event is important for everyone,” Damiano said. “It’s important for the people who come but it’s also important for our sisters who really welcome both children and adults. We know it will be important for our residents in healthcare who enjoy seeing people come.”
