Someone asked if he looked up to Steve from Blue's Clues, his character, and he said that for years with a lot of his mental health issues, he never asked for help, and he finally realized that Steve from Blue's Clues always asked for help from everybody. He said he learned that he had to ask for help like Steve. This is one of the most difficult things for me to do — to ask for help. I was SOBBING, DUDE."

"I actually went on tour with Julie for two weeks. It was one of those An Evening With… type things. By the first day, she knew all the crews names, chatted with everyone, telling stories and asking about our lives. By the third show she was the 'crew mom,' making sure we were all getting enough rest and food. She literally stopped a rehearsal when our breakfast was late being delivered, so we could all go and eat. And on the last show, she gave us all hugs, a bottle of whiskey, and a handwritten letter saying thank you. It’s the only time once a show ended that we were all a bit sad because we wouldn’t see her again. Beautiful woman inside and out."

"My aunt met Julie Andrews working on a production. She told us the story about how another cast member spoke to staff (and especially runners like my aunt) like dirt. Andrews obviously had been clocking this, and my aunt overheard her giving the other lady a stern talking to. She was basically telling her (in a kind but firm, motherly tone) something along the lines that being in a position like theirs is a gift — that they are no more talented or special than thousands of other actors and performers who just didn’t get their break, and it’s the goodwill of fans and staff that keep them where they are. It’s a position of luxury and they have a responsibility to act and serve with dignity and gratitude. All delivered in a kind motherly tone with a hint of 'If I catch you again…’ My aunt always loved her even more for that. She always noted how she used the term ‘serve,’ and it stuck with her. Plus, if Julie Andrews is telling you to stop being a bitch, you really need to take note!"

"Met the man once; his son’s band at the time opened for my ex’s band. We were up chilling in the balcony when I look past my friend and see him — he’s the only celeb who's actually made me nervous, and working in the restaurant/bar industry, you meet and chat with a lot of famous people. This man waited until the whole show ended — not just when his son’s band was done — and stood around for 30+ minutes chatting it up with my ex’s band and all of us, just so genuinely sweet and warm and excited about music. He’s my forever fave celeb encounter."

She lived for other people's joy. It was manna to her. Betty was one-of-a-kind. It wouldn't be possible to dislike her."

My dad was super excited as Van Dyke is one of his favorite actors. He asked him if he could come back the next day to sign his copy of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Van Dyke actually did come back the next day to do so. My dad told me he was super down-to-earth and kind."

"Watching Season 3 of Dead to Me. Her acting is riveting, the emotion coming out of her is too raw and real to be just acting. She seems to be pouring out her soul from her recent MS diagnosis. She is amazing and has suffered so much. On a brighter note, her portrayal of Kelly Bundy (Married... with Children) had me riveted as a teenager for so many other reasons. She left an impact. She’s had quite a career and life arc. I hope the rest of her years are kind to her."

He was a lovely bloke, really friendly and generous with his time (I was in the marketing team, so we were often asking things of him). He's a great guy as far as I know."

"I was just watching a video where Conan O'Brien was talking about how when he was in college he met John Candy and got to give him a personal tour of Harvard. He said he was a really nice guy and was cracking jokes the whole time, and he gave Conan some advice on comedy and being a writer. He even took a photo of Conan, and Conan received the photo several years later from John's family after he died. Seemed like a genuine nice and funny person."
