Massachusetts public health officials are offering state residents a chance to earn $75 if they receive any COVID-19 vaccine at select clinics around the state by the end of the year.
Any of the COVID shots — a first dose, second dose or booster — will earn a $75 gift card, Department of Public Health officials said. Both adults and children are eligible for the program, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to receive their payout.
There are nearly 250 clinics across the state taking part in the program — known as “Get Boosted” — which is designed to increase vaccine access in communities hit hardest by the virus. Most clinics are open on specific days between the end of November and the end of December. A full list of the participating locations can be found here.
COVID vaccinations and booster shots are free and approved for people older than 6 months, though some shots are only approved for certain age brackets.
Appointments are not required to receive a vaccine at the clinics, though some locations encourage people to pre-register for their visit.
The Boston Public Health Commission launched a similar gift card program in September. That program was exclusively for Boston residents.
