The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up an impressive victory on Monday Night Football, going on the road to defeat the Indianapolis Colts to close out Week 12. This is the second win in three games for the Steelers, who are improving every week with rookie Kenny Pickett leading the offense. On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers suffered another tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles this week.

At this time of the season, the importance of wins and losses is heightened. There are likely some Steelers fans that are disappointed that they are winning games now after suffering so many close calls earlier in the season that shrunk their playoff odds.

While making the playoffs and keeping head coach Mike Tomlin’s record of consecutive seasons without having a losing one are certainly minuscule, Pittsburgh has a lot of proud veterans that are going to give it their all until the final whistle. With the defense as healthy as it has been at any point this season, they will, at the very least, play spoiler throughout the last six games.

That is something many teams around the NFL will benefit from. Not only will it mean the Steelers move down the draft board picking up wins, but other teams will move up as a result. One of the teams that benefited from their performance on Monday was the Green Bay Packers.

Pittsburgh improved to 4-7 on the season with the win, which was about the only good thing to happen to Green Bay this weekend. With the Steelers’ win, the Packers have moved into the 8th spot in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Packers could cement their spot inside the top 8 and move up even further in the last few games of the season. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers ailing, Green Bay could turn to Jordan Love to start some games to close out 2022.

That will give them a chance to evaluate their young quarterback and see if he is someone they should consider as their quarterback of the future. If things go south, at least they can take solace in the fact of knowing they will be able to add an impact player near the top of the draft to their roster.
