On at 9pm tonight (28th November), this appears to be a one episode 2 hour original comedy drama.
I thought it might be of interest because it has a good cast and good writers.

From comedy.co.uk website:

Set six weeks after the Gu'un aliens have invaded and completely conquered Earth, We Are Not Alone explores the culture clash between humankind and its new masters, who are trying to make sense of a planet so confusing and idiotic that its inhabitants can't even agree which side of the road to drive on.

Stars
Declan Baxter, Joe Thomas, Georgia May Foote, Vicki Pepperdine, Amanda Abbington, Bruce Mackinnon, Mike Wozniak, Evelyn Mok and more

Writers
Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond

I'm watching. The jury is out at the moment. I'll watch anything by Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond. It reminds me a bit of You me and the apocalypse, (with Mat Baynton) but not as good so far

Was it any good then? Apparently one of the cast put out a 'Are we enjoying it' question on Instagram then deleted it when it got too many 'No' responses

It started out all right but lost the plot halfway through. Its hard to do sci-fi , even a comedy sci-fi, with (I'm guessing) a budget of about 50 quid.

I think you can do SF on a budget. Look at 3rd rock or Mork and Mindy. But it's rather difficult to do apocalyptic SF about the world under alien rule on a budget. it was interesting to see them try, but it needed the international span of You me and the Apocalypse (and the money, and the stars) to make it work. And even that hardly made a blip on the viewing figures. Shame, as I thought it was very good.

I enjoyed it, thought it was good fun. I've seen some talk of a follow-up series being a possibility, I would watch it. Sci-Fi is not my thing, I don't normally watch it, but thankfully the comedy arising from mismatched characters was more important here than Sci-Fi action.

    Well, it was different!

I didn't hate it, I actually really liked the concept. I thought it started off well, got a bit lost in the middle and had an OKish ending. Maybe it would have worked better as a series.

A bit of a novelty and I'm here for anything that is as far away from reality (or football) as it's possible to get.
it didn't live up to its promise but it was an amusing diversion for a couple of hours.
It had some good gags and it did make me chuckle in places but I think they'd have to up their game if they wanted to extend it to a series.

Agreed, I thought it was a series when it started being advertised. Unusual for a new comedy to start as a feature length one off special rather than a series. I enjoyed it though.

    No.

I've seen worse new comedy. It was just a bit naff though. A bit half-hearted.
I actually gave up before the end.

A bit 'meh' as I believe da kidz say.

Sci-fi comedy is a hard genre or sub-genre to get right. For every Hitch Hikers Guide or Red Dwarf you get ten Hyperdrives. ~(Or whatever that thing was called starring Miranda Hart.)

Third Rock from the Sun was funny though, back in the day.

Not watched it yet but sounds like it was an on a budget try out for what could turn out to be a good series with more money and production thrown at it?
