Home Invasion in Carlotta

At this time, information is scarce, however the BOLO went out just after 8 a.m. on November 29 for a black, 2000 2018 GMC Sierra taken during the home invasion. Scanner traffic indicates three male suspects entered the residence and tied up the resident. One of the suspects reportedly struck the resident with a revolver-style pistol.
We have reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for additional information including the description of the stolen vehicle.
Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. More like statistical profiling, You can throw your words around, but you can’t hide from the truth.
So what are the statistics you suggest people are using? The OP suggests the reason a description wasn’t provided was because of the race of the alleged perps. Not sure what “statistics” you are referring to.

Statistically, in this area, the perps are probably white locals with a drug problem and a fairly extensive rap sheet of petty crime typical of long term drug addicts
and at least 2/3 have a neck tat and 0/3 have a license to operate said stolen vehicle.

Well, if the Google Earth picture is correct, and current, there appears to be 5 hoop houses in the immediate vicinity. So…maybe it was weed and cash related?
It doesn’t take a PhD to use Google Earth. To me, if I was of the criminal type, I would likely equate hoop houses to cash on the premises, at least in Humboldt county.
Maybe a year or two ago, now better off hitting a gas station you can still sell cigarettes 🤣

Driving out the IM would not be the best option for snatching up someones crop. There are operations along 101 that would provide a better get-away option. 4 sho
