Vehicles slide off slick, snowy roads across Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The York County Communications Center said early Tuesday morning that it was already getting calls of vehicles sliding off the interstate.

It’s urging everyone to be careful if you have to travel.

There have also been several reports of crashes around Buffalo County, including a rollover and at least one jackknifed semi.

The Nebraska State Patrol reported dangerous conditions in northeast Nebraska as well.

Highway 81 in Cedar County was completely covered with snow near Randolph.

It was a similar scene in southwest Nebraska.  There was barely any pavement visible on Highway 6 in Chase County near the Enders community.

Authorities from across the state have been asking drivers to give themselves extra time before heading out Tuesday and recommend staying home if you can.
