One dead in Temple Loop crash
TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – One person has died in a Temple crash. Temple Police officers responded around 6:30 a.m. Friday to the 11300 block of NW H.K. Dodgen Loop. The driver of a vehicle ran into a parked 18-wheeler. Police will have the road blocked down to one lane for a couple of hours.

Pickup truck hit by bullets, no injuries reported
TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – No injuries have been reported in a Temple shooting, but a pickup truck was hit by bullets. Temple Police officers responded around 9:42 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of Filly Lane in reference to a call of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered a pickup truck was hit by bullets in the 800 block of Filly Lane. Five shell casings were found on the ground.

Construction workers hospitalized in Belton crash
BELTON, Texas (FOX 44) – Two construction workers are in the hospital after a crash in Belton on January 26. Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded at approximately 10:56 a.m. Thursday to a report of a crash between a vehicle and two pedestrians in a construction zone on Interstate 14 in Belton. A construction crew was breaking down a construction zone on the inside lane of I-14 with marked orange cones to reopen the interstate.

Long Bridge reopens after tractor-trailer accident
TEMPLE, Texas (FOX 44) – The Long Bridge of Highway 36 in Bell County was closed on both sides overnight due to a tractor-trailer accident. The Moffat Volunteer Fire Department, along with State Troopers and the Texas Department of Transportation, responded to the scene. The tractor-trailer was completely blocking the eastbound side.

Authorities warn against road travel as icy conditions worsen
Waco (FOX 44) — Police in Waco are warning people against unnecessary travel as more sleet and freezing rain moved into the area Wednesday morning. Police spokesperson Cierra Shipley posted on Facebook that areas around Lakeshore Dr., I-35, Waco Dr. over Hwy 77, and the Herring and MLK bridges are particularly dangerous.

Family displaced in mobile home fire
CAMERON, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: A family was displaced after a mobile home was destroyed by fire. The Cameron Police Department says the fire was reported around 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, near 1268 Milam County Road 264 in Cameron. The Cameron and Gause Fire Departments responded to the scene and found the home fully engulfed in flames.
