Teen arrested in connection with fatal East Nashville shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Police arrested a man accused of shooting a teen in October 2022, police said on Thursday. Brian Sutton Jr., 19, has been charged in the shooting death of Isaac Brown, 18. Brown was found dead on Oct. 19 on Fairwin Avenue in East Nashville. He had been shot in the head.

Man arrested for allegedly shooting woman in face in January
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman is still recovering after a friend of hers allegedly shot her in the face in East Nashville last month. According to an arrest affidavit, officers were called to 1601 Holly Street on Jan. 4 for a woman who had been shot and a Red Kia fleeing the scene. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to the face. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Man dies from gunshot wound in Murfreesboro
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 20-year-old man has died after he was shot while sitting inside a parked car in Murfreesboro on Wednesday evening. Officers responded to the 2900 block of Pritchett Drive just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday and found Kendall Storay suffering from a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a black Infinity sedan, according to Murfreesboro Police. Paramedics arrived and began life-saving treatment at the scene before Storay was transported to Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital, where he later died.

Brentwood house fire leaves 1 dead, 1 hospitalized
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WSMV) - An investigation is underway after an overnight house fire left one resident dead and injured several others, including two officers. According to Brentwood Fire and Rescue (BFRD), a 911 call came in from inside a home on Bridlewood Lane in the River Oaks neighborhood around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Another call was made from a cell phone a short time later. BFRD crews responded along with Brentwood Police officers to the scene just after 10:30 p.m. and reported heavy smoke and flames were visible.
