NB I-75 reopened at Brush in Detroit after SUV crashed through overpass

Northbound Interstate 75 near Brush Street in Detroit is open again after an SUV crashed through an overpass and on to the freeway.

Troopers were called to the location at about 2 a.m. after reports of a vehicle crashing through the overpass. The freeway was closed for more than eight hours while police investigated.

Officials said the vehicle and possibly debris from the overpass struck a vehicle that was traveling on I-75.

They said no major injuries were reported in either vehicle.

Detroit police are investigating the crash because it originated on the overpass, state police officials also said.

The freeway was closed from about 2:30 a.m. until about 10 a.m. while police conducted an investigation, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
