Investor Wants Disney to FIRE Board Member
The Walt Disney Company is preparing for its annual shareholders’ meeting, where board members will vote on the next chairman. But, who the next chairman will be remains unclear, as Disney has been emblazoned in a proxy battle with activist investor Nelson Peltz. Peltz (and his firm the Trian Group) has shared he believes Disney has “lost its way” and that he’s the right man to lead them back. BREAKING: Cast Members Reject New Disney World Contract
Members of the six unions representing Disney World employees have voted no on a contract that Disney had positioned as its best offer. According to Unite Here Local 362, union members rejected the offer by a 96% margin. Disney World’s current contract with its unionized Cast Members expired October 1st, 2022. The Cast Members are working under a contract extension that will continue even after this week’s “no” vote.

Major CHANGE Coming to a Disney Spot Soon
According to a casting call on Disney’s Career and Auditions website, one attraction at a Disney park is going to CHANGE soon. Here’s what we know so far about the update!. Disney is currently looking for singers, dancers, and actors for a “New limited-run musical at the Hyperion Theatre [at] Disneyland Resort.” The casting call doesn’t specify which musical will be playing at the theatre.

Disney Caught in the Middle of Another Lawsuit
Disney is no stranger to lawsuits, and it has been caught in the middle of quite a few lately. Disney was sued by an investor to obtain documents related to the Company’s handling of the situation with Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill. Plus a Park Pass lawsuit has been filed by Annual Passholders against Disney, Disney was sued over the Genie+ system, and a million-dollar lawsuit was filed against Disney by Magic Key holders too. Now it seems Disney is involved in another lawsuit — this time related to streaming.
