Sherry Dillihay-McDade is now the Chairwoman of the Mobile County School Board.
She also represents Williamson's district.
McDade says within the last two weeks there's been discussions between her and some Mobile City Councilmembers to see what it would take to acquire the property Willaimson's track sits on, which is Harmon Thomas Park.
"We've submitted a request with their assistant to make sure that all of us are on the same page. So Mr. Carrol, CJ Small and I got together, and we are discussing, trying to make sure that all of us are on the same page and doing what we need to so that we can get that stadium built on the property next to Williamson," said McDade.
McDade says now it's in the hands of the city's attorney.
She also says Ladd Peebles is not off the table since there are other schools like Murphy with no stadium at all.

"I can tell you this...I've spoken with Superintendent Threadgill on this, he's gotten some pretty interesting ideas," said John Hatcher, the school system's newest board member.
"I think that Mobile really wants to get away from it, but I really want that property that's adjacent to Williamson. I think you know maybe both parties can come out happy, let me just say that," Hatcher continued.
McDade is on the same page; she wants that property too.
"A stadium on any campus will provide the financial gain for all of our students that attend those schools," said McDade
Officials say Williamson will still gain revenue even if the school system decides Ladd Peebles is the better option.
Williamson High School alum are hosting a community meeting next week to discuss the future of Williamson.
It takes place Thursday, December 8th at 6pm at the Harmon Recreation Center.
They've also invited community leaders including Mayor Sandy Stimpson and the Superintendent of the MCPSS.
