CapMetro suspends non-emergency services Tuesday night through Wednesday
AUSTIN, Texas — Due to icy conditions around the Austin area, Capital Metro will be suspending all non-emergency services on Tuesday night and all day on Wednesday. CapMetro said it will begin its final trips at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for bus, rail and pickup, with the intent to have all trips completed around 9 p.m. The agency has already suspended operations for Manor pickup and Lago Vista pickup, as well as Route 214, Route 990 and MetroBike.

AUSTIN, Texas — A structure fire in a shed resulted in the deaths of multiple chickens Tuesday morning. At 7:31 a.m. on Jan. 31, the Austin Fire Department (AFD) responded to a structure fire in the 7000 block of Carwill Drive. Man killed in early morning shooting on Wells Branch Parkway
AUSTIN, Texas — One man is dead after a shooting on Wells Branch Parkway early Thursday morning. The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) said at 12:56 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance call of shots fired in the 3100 block of Wells Branch Parkway. Deputies discovered a man in his 20s had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead outside an apartment unit.
