Monday's temperatures were cooler than previous days, but still not bad, considering it's almost December.
More rain is on the way this week, and it is likely to be heavier than the amounts Western North Carolina received over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The flood risk looks to be low, but it is a possibility.
The next weather-maker is expected to arrive late Tuesday in the form of widespread showers and even a few thundershowers. Rainfall amounts could push an inch in places by daybreak Wednesday, but most will fall short.
By Wednesday night, the weather will take another turn. The night is expected to be gusty and cold, with temperatures dropping into the mid-20s. The cold will stick around Thursday, with highs probably only reaching the upper 40s.
