Sparkle Light Festival provided Kidlist with the tickets for this event. All opinions are my own.

Light Displays

The main attraction of Sparkle Light Festival is, of course, the lights! Stationed around Impact Field are giant reindeer, Christmas trees, light tunnels, and so much more. There are countless photo ops in front of a larger-than-life Santa, inside ornaments, and seated in a Christmas carriage. Nearly all of the lights are on the field itself, so guests will need to walk around to the north side of the field to get down into the main area.

My kids really enjoyed wandering through the light tunnels, and hopping on the light-up carousel for a picture. We also loved finding our favorite Christmas characters, and I even got to pop into a picture or two with my kids, too.

As a parent, I appreciated that all of the light displays were big and spread out across Impact Field, which made it easy to take pictures. Everyone casually took turns stopping for pictures and offering to take pictures for one another. We even heard a few people singing along to the music playing throughout the stadium. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy holiday photos, this is a good place to take them. Every corner we turned, my kids marveled at what we found and asked me to take their picture.

Alpine Slide

For an additional $22, guests can enjoy unlimited rides on the Alpine Slide, a 2-story snow tubing hill. To ride the tubes, you’ll need to purchase the wristband either at the front entrance, or at guest services. The slide is on the opposite side of the field, so keep that in mind so you’re not backtracking across the field.

When we visited, the tube slide was not running, as it was not cold enough. If you’re planning to utilize the slide, I would call ahead to confirm it will be operating.

Last year when we went, there was a short line that was constantly moving, making it easy for our family to enjoy multiple runs in a row. Riders slid down fast, so if you’re on the fence about riding along with your child, I’d recommend it. The tubes weren’t overly heavy, which made it easy for our girls to carry them up the stairs on their own. We appreciated that there was something extra that our bigger kids could enjoy at Sparkle Light Festival.

Sparkle Light Festival Children’s Train

Located on the northwest corner of the field, visitors will find a children’s train with free, unlimited rides. This track-less ride make a short loop through its own section of lights as young children ride in the back.

Rudolph’s Kid Zone

Rudolph’s Kid Zone can be found right near the entrance. This heated area had stations where we could color and write a letter to Santa, play oversized games, and of course, visit with Santa for a free photo op.

Ice Skating

In the south section of the field, visitors will find a small ice skating rink. As of November 17, 2023, this space was not yet open due to warmer temperatures. Check their website for more details about skating at Sparkle Light Festival.

Eat and Drink

There are quite a few food stations available throughout the stadium, which include ballpark favorites like hot dogs and burgers. Guests will also find hot chocolate, pretzels, popcorn, and other great choices that will warm you up while you’re taking a break from looking at all of the lights. Adult beverages including glühwein are also sold.

If you prefer to look at the lights while eating, there are select sections that guests could sit in the seats and enjoying a snack.

Parking at Sparkle Light Festival

There is a parking deck right next to Impact Field, which is perfect for Sparkle Light Festival. Cars pay $5, with both cash and credit cards accepted.
