Pitt Safety Judson Tallandier II Enters Transfer Portal

A second Pitt transfer on Friday and another one that doesn’t come as much as a surprise.

Senior safety Judson Tallandier has made the decision to enter the transfer portal and use his last season of athletic eligibility at another school. The native of DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Maryland took part in Senior Day activities but had the option to return for another season.

“First, I want to thank God for blessing me. Thank you for every moment that has led me to where I am now. Thank you to the University of Pittsburgh for giving me the opportunity to pursue my goals athletically and academically. Thank you to all of the coaches, staff, and fans who have supported me over the years. And to my teammates, I am forever grateful for the bonds that we have built and pray for nothing but the best for all of you. After much prayer, thought, and conversation with family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility remaining’

In his five seasons in Panther uniform, Tallandier recorded 50 tackles and one sack. Back in 2021, the 6-foot-2 defensive back collected a career-high 28 tackles.

Tallandier was on the roster in 2018 and the lone game that he participated in was the Sun Bowl against Stanford, which preserved his freshman redshirt.

During his time at Pitt, Tallandier took part in three bowl games: the Sun Bowl, the Quick Lanes Bowl and the Peach Bowl.

Tallandier was a member of Pitt’s Class of 2018 and signed with Pitt over other offers from Arizona, Boston College, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse and Wake Forest.
