Several Austin bars to provide Narcan to prevent overdoses

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A Travis County family was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital Thursday for carbon monoxide poisoning. University Health says that a generator is blamed for the family, including two children, becoming ill. The hospital adds that it has treated several Texas families for carbon monoxide poisoning at its Level I trauma center this season.

AUSTIN, Texas - Four people are displaced from their homes and two animals died in a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in southwest Travis County Sunday. Around 3:30 p.m., Austin fire crews were called to the Valley View Village Apartments on Silvermine Drive just off SH 71 west of Oak Hill. CTFB says it is "concerned about how the recent ice storm is affecting everyone, in particular the thousands of Central Texans who find themselves in need as a result of the recent power outage."
