Former platoon sergeant, web designer from Topeka sought in abduction of Nebraska woman

A Topeka man who worked as a web production artist and served as an Army and Marine platoon sergeant is wanted by Nebraska authorities in connection with the kidnapping of an Omaha woman, who remains missing.

Aldrick L. Scott, 47, is being sought by the sheriff's department in Douglas County, Nebraska, the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office said Monday on its Facebook page.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact law enforcement immediately," it said.

The Omaha World-Herald reported an outstanding warrant seeks Scott's arrest in connection with the kidnapping of Cari Allen, 43, who remains missing after disappearing late Nov. 19 from her home in Omaha.

Law enforcement officers subsequently searched Scott's home in Topeka.

Scott spent 14 years in the Army and Marine Corps, serving in both as a platoon sergeant, according to his LinkedIn profile.

It said Scott then attended Washburn University, where he graduated in 2019 with a grade-point average of 3.86.

His LinkedIn profile said Scott started work in November 2020 as a web production artist for Advisors Excel in Topeka, where an official said Monday that Scott was no longer employed there.
