ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The Enterprise Christmas Parade is being postponed until Thursday.

The parade has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. due to possible inclement weather and associated safety risks on Tuesday.

A storm system is moving into the Wiregrass area. Wednesday, the area will be under a marginal risk for severe weather.

“Our number one concern is the safety of our citizens. After seeking input from weather and safety experts, City of Enterprise leaders, Chamber Board members, and community stakeholders we have made the decision to err on the side of caution to protect everyone involved and to ensure the best viewing experience for parade participants and spectators alike.”

Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Erin Grantham

The parade will begin on North Main Street at the Southeast Cardiology and the Grocery Outlet and will travel south to the River Bank & Trust. Anyone attending is encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the parade.

North and South Main Streets, East and West College Streets, and Railroad Street will be closed.

Drivers are reminded that there will be no parking available on these streets for a better and safer parade viewing experience for everyone. Public parking will be available throughout downtown.
