43rd Annual Trees of Christmas opens at Houchens Center

"The Sights and Sounds of Christmas"

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This past Saturday, the Eloise B. Houchens Center celebrated its 43rd annual Trees of Christmas Opening Ceremony.

The Bowling Green community flooded the center over the weekend to see “The Sights and Sounds of Christmas”.

Local civic groups and non-profits have donated over 30 Christmas trees, each one with a unique character of its own.

Attendees said it’s a well known tradition that kids’ favorite part visiting the Trees of Christmas is casting their votes by placing coins in the jar under their favorite Christmas trees.

Eloise B. Houchens Center President Judy Sampson said, “We do this as a gift to the community because a lot of traditions just fade out, but 43 years of doing the trees, and it just grows every single year.”

You can swing by to see the Trees of Christmas through December 21st. Stop by Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 4 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.

You can call Eloise B. Houchens Center at 1115 Adams Street to set other visits by appointment at 270-842-6761.
