Model Brooke Shields knows how to shake things up a bit. Instead of sitting warm and cozy by a fire to celebrate Thanksgiving, this year, the 57-year-old took a polar plunge. For her chilly adventure, the star wore a red one-piece swimsuit and posted the video to her Instagram for fans to see—and they can’t get enough!

In the clip, the A Castle for Christmas star stood outside with a gorgeous pool and lounge area behind her. While rocking a red, strapless one-piece, Shields glowed in the November sun with her hair pulled up into a bun, sunglasses on, and looked luxe with a necklace and watch for her outdoor pool day. We couldn’t help by notice her legs looked extra strong (especially after she recently broke her femur).

The Blue Lagoon star participated in the tradition, which consists of submerging yourself in freezing water. She captioned the video, “The @thanksgiving tradition continues…” and included a turkey and cold emoji.

“Oh god, it’s so cold,” she said while fully immersed in the water. She stood with the water at shoulder level for a few seconds before walking back up the steps to leave the chilly temp behind.

This isn’t the first time Shields has stepped into the cold waters. During Thanksgiving 2021, Shields posted a similar video from the other side of the pool wearing the same strapless red bathing suit, sunglasses, watch, and necklace. In this video, Shields slowly backed into the pool, and down the staircase. She similarly dipped for just a moment to her shoulders, looking stunning the whole way down. She captioned the video, “New Thanksgiving tradition” and included a turkey and snow emoji.

This year, followers took to the comments section to share their experience with taking an icy dip. One fan commented, “I’ve done three-minute ice baths. I feel you, Brooke. But isn’t it the BEST feeling afterward?” Meanwhile, others left the freezing temps to Shields: “Brrrr, no thanks. I’m not into cold,” one fan wrote. And though she only went in the water up to her shoulders, fans encouraged her to dunk her head next year. One follower commented, “Dunk your head under. Go, Brooke, go!”

Other fans were in awe of Shields’ beauty. “Is that you or your daughter? You’re looking younger every day,” one wrote. “Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! You have only aged like fine wine,” another added.

And Shields has worked hard to maintain her muscles and embrace her body image. She has a strict diet and fitness routine that keeps her in tip-top shape. It includes abs and arms workouts, flexibility exercises like at-home stretches, and following other fitness tips that incorporate low-impact workouts that focus on stability and strength.

We’re so glad to see Shields had a nice holiday and is continuing the fun tradition!
